OK wiseguys. Do any of you do your own taxes, BY HAND? I've slogged through them with my husband and it's a convoluted mess to figure out and even get the same result twice in a row! Both political parties are guilty of over complicating taxes for the benefit of the wealthy. Don't just blame the DNC here!

I'm not apologizing for the government. I was just pointing out how complex the tax structure is and how it's prone to filing errors the way it's set up. I dare you to call the IRS and ask a question and get the same answer twice! I remember years ago our own Oregon Senator Bob Packwood publicly flubbing a tax question and he was on the Senate Finance Committee overseeing tax law at the time!
Geithner may or may not be guilty of tax evasion, although knowing Washington insiders, I'm leaning toward the 'he did it on purpose' model. The slimebag quotient is high here.
The Dems aren't the only crooks in town. They just happen to be in power at the moment. I seem to recall the Bush-appointed SEC turning a blind eye (wink, wink) to Mr. Madoff and his theft of $50 billion from investors and charities. I don't see his butt in jail yet!

Yes and never forgot to pay $34,000 in taxes like your boy did...and then he only paid half of it because he was audited and didn't pay the other half until he was named to Obama's cabinet and told he better go ahead and pay that too! So quit trying to blame the complexity of the tax code! How pathetically lame can you get?!?tunnelcat wrote:OK wiseguys. Do any of you do your own taxes, BY HAND?
I don't. I blame Obama exclusively for giving us more of the exact thing he campaigned on getting rid of! And not just this one guy but just about every thing he promised he would change he instead has simply brought in his own version of the same damn thing!tunnelcat wrote:Don't just blame the DNC here!
Like I said with complete contempt in my heart and with as much mockery as my keyboard will type: "Change we can believe in"...Heh!
