Hey, have any of you tried increasing the number of pre-rendered frames in graphics-intensive games like Crysis, etc. (I don't know for sure if ATI cards have this feature)?
I was getting some \"stutter\" every time I would web-swing further away from a previous area in the new Spider-Man... so I changed some settings and the settings that I ended up with allowed me to turn up AA to 8x quality with 6 pre-rendered frames.
Now the objects don't look so bad at my res and I can play without stutter. ^_^
Pre-rendering more frames also eats into the available video memory taking up more space for the framebuffer and less available for storing textures, and background texture loading is one of the most common causes of game stuttering.
