More than one Google?

Post by Tunnelcat »

What is www.l.google and how is it different that just google? I've got the McAfee SiteAdvisor add-on in Firefox and it quit working at google.com a few weeks back but works at the other domain and Yahoo just fine. This workaround came from the McAfee forum.

Naw, it's something google's doing (only google, not yahoo or even google.ca) to mess up McAfee SiteAdvisor. It happens on and off even though I haven't changed the software on my browser.

All the more reason to trash McAfee and go with something better that doesn't dork around in the system as much.

Google probably just did something to bother the execs at McAfee so they blacklisted the site and shift the blame.

The SiteAdvisor is kind of handy. It tags websites as to their risk when you do a Google search. What's weird is I found that it works using the 'advanced search' screen, but not the 'simple search' screen. :?
