Halo, the way it was originally intended.

Ever wonder (or remember ) what all the hype about Halo was about? It seems it was well founded, but ultimately slaughtered by Microsoft. (big surprise)

I found THIS video looking for the original trailer for the game long before or Microsoft got ahold of it. I'm unsure, but I think this is about the time Mac acquired the project.

I never really played halo.

What's the difference? You were going to be able to play an alien race, and now you can't?

Playing Halo at my friends house on multiple xboxes was great. It was some of the most fun I have ever had with a video game.

But once it went online, and people for the most part stopped those xbox parties, then I think many saw Halo for what it really was -- a solid game, but a game which got most of its great success from the lack of an alternative.
