Windows Media Player error

Post by thewolfe »

Friend bought a DVD (Diana Krall - Live from Brazil) and it won't play in her Dell Inspiron 1525 Vista laptop. And does play in her regular DVD player hooked to her tv.

The error message is C00D1165 and something like \"made for another region or can't play in your region. Were in region 1.

Any software to download? Saw a post that said you could change the region a couple of times and then it would stay in that region and couldn't be changed. Don't want to do that.

Location: Camping the energy center. BTW, did you know you can have up to 100 characters in this location box?

Some drives can be flashed to remove the region restrictions;
Check here if there is one for your drive

X2 for Any DVD if your not into potentially bricking your DVD or there is no bin for your drive.
