Wtf with D2X?

I have a significant problem with the D2X-Rebirth. It crashes without an error message (returns to Windows) after I choose \"new game\" in the menu. Suffice to say, it's totally unplayable. Any suggestions why may that be? The D2 files are all in that folder alright.

What version of D2 are you running?
What version of D2x?
Have you up to date drivers? (sound, vid, etc)

Be sure to read the installation guide.

Plus it helps to know what your system specs are.

Well I'm already going fine, just copied the absolute minimum of needed files to the folder and all runs smootho. I'm so happy. And this thread can be closed.
