Fur the duration of Obama's occupation of the White House, I have changed my avatar to suit the occasion.

Meatheads, I know they would of noticed. It is the \"why\" that is important no? Considering I haven't changed my Avatar for 15 years, I thought I'd at least give a explanation. Obviously you two needed a clarification

Because .net is an Obama bashing republican forum bent on two things. To see Obama fail and to start another war with some country.

Hahaha...Cuda.

I think that best exemplifies the republicans rather than those who are tired of the complaining.

Edit...

Anytime.

In fact, maybe I'll start a thread about Sarah Palin quitting because of the intense pressure of running Alaska.

Because the "It's bushes fault" attitude got old. If Obama had ignored the economy and it wasn't quite recovering, then you could easily place the blame on Bush, as the most recent president, Clinton, for his economic policies, the private sector, wall street, etc.

But Obama has spent unpresidented (Puns...heh) amounts of money, very quickly. By now, one might believe that money would have some effect. One could argue that the effect isn't immediate, but I think he's had enough time to fix the economy, at least slightly.

His biggest problem to me is spending huge amounts of money left and right. Not only does this burden posterity, it hurts us now. If he quieted down, he would be predictable. If people know what is going to happen next, they feel more confident, and as a result, spend money more freely.

He wants reform in so many places, so quickly, people aren't sure what is coming next. As a result, they are more tight with their money.

As for this being a mainly republican/libretarian/conservative forum, I agree. You're completely right, most opinions here are steamrollers of far rightness. So, I have three words-

GET OVER IT.

The majority of TV media is liberal. Over the past 100 years, democrats win larger majorities, more often, then republicans. Most talk radio is conservative however. Different mediums are controlled by different political parties. But honestly, stop complaining about it and prove them wrong. If you think you're right then give some reasons. You should be happy to be in a mainly conservative forum. In a liberal forum, you're surrounded by people who agree with you already-so who are you convincing? 'Bee' the one who challenges the norm.

So far, you're campaign of complaining about it hasn't helped.

@ Woodchip-Your old avatar had so much more win. You should take it backz.
Amg! It's on every post and it WON'T GO AWAY!!

thats because they dont have anything to say to support Obama, it seems the only thing they can think of is to whine about those of us that bag on the President and the other Dem's. this really has NOTHING at all to do with .Net being right wing. it's because of the selective memory of several on this board that seem to forget all the Bush bashing that went on while he was President and is still going on today. yet they dont even make an ATTEMPT to debate any issues.
Props to TC, I seldom agree with her, but at least she stands up and debates what she believes in. while the others here just want to cry that its unfair how we rag on their first chance to vote for an elected official, while doing NOTHING to defend his actions.

do it if you think your capable of debating the Issue. I'll be happy to join in. but the minute you start crying right wing DBB. well

Guys, you're right that it's better to join the debate than complain.

But Bet is also right; since the election, .net has become dominated by conservative voices pointing the finger at Obama. (To be honest, I think there's been a fair share of whining on both sides.)

Meh, it's to be expected. Having been here a few years, I've seen the tone change with the times. Personally, I'm looking forward to the political debate dying down a bit (I think it probably will by sometime next year), and participating in the ethics / science / social topics that tend to pop up when the political furor slows down.

The Joker represented anarchy in the movie, not socialism. Two-Face IS a better representation of Obama as Will said above, but I'll give him his 4 years to try and fix the previous administration's machinations that have led to our present mess (include Clinton too), but so far he's gone back on many of his campaign promises. He needs to buck the power structure in Washington to redeem himself. If he just becomes just another corrupt politician, in 4 years, the Republican's had better come up with someone better than Palin, Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich or any of the other selected Republican hypocrite adulterer governor presidential wannabes because we're screwed.
