What I don't understand, is why the trade-ins had to be destroyed? I mean, couldn't the trade-ins be given to the needy?

I think this is something both conservative and liberals can agree on... (maybe not the closet Marxists)... GWB made a power grab that was scary, and now Obama is continuing the trend. Either way more government power makes people start worrying about more government intrusion upon our rights.
