Reasonable questions for unreasonable times

- If the ‘public option’ health care plan is so good why won’t politicians agree to have that as their plan?

- If town hall meetings are intended for the politicians to learn what’s on our mind—why do they spend so much time talking instead of listening?

- Politicians are refusing to attend town hall meetings complaining, without evidence, that they are scripted. Does that mean we shouldn’t come out and vote for you since every campaign stop, baby kiss and speech you give is scripted?

- Why would you want to overwhelm the system?

- Is using the economic crises to rush legislation through congress what Rahm Emanuel meant when he talked about "not letting a crises go to waste"?

- What are the czars paid? What is the budget for their staffs/offices?
Before any goes off on the source, please read the questions and try, TRY to answer just one of them yourself, using your own brain.

Personally I tried and couldn't, perhaps one, or some of you can.

I could only answer 2 of them

Why won’t members of Congress read the bills before they vote on them?

Plausible deniability???

Why are citizens mocked and laughed at when they ask their congressman to read the bills before they vote on them?

because congress doesn't want to be held accountable, so they do what they always do. try and discredit the source

I could give my \"OPINION\" on a couple of others but I would be called partisan

I agree, but the war in Iraq should also be added to that list.
The stimulus package funneled billions of dollars to ACORN. How does giving billions of dollars to ACORN stimulate the economy?
This is Glen beck being a dumbass. Using conservative buzz-words that work all too well on his audience.

If it was so important for congress to pass the stimulus bill before they even had time to read it why has only a fraction of the stimulus money been spent 6 months later?
The economy is incredibly massive and slow to move. Say your trying to move a boulder up a hill as fast as you can. Do you hit it as hard as you can at once? No. Do you wait to start pushing? No. You apply a strong and consistent force.
Bush said he had to abandon free market principles in order to save them, how exactly does that work?
No one was lending money. Small businesses would have gone under if they couldn't get those loans. You can disagree but this is Glen beck just playing dumb and carrying more about being provocative then factual.
Why won’t members of Congress read the bills before they vote on them?
Funny, liberals were in an uproar about this and the Patriot act, most conservatives didn't care then. I'd say its 80% a strawman, this is just how congress works: google committees, subcommittees and conference committees. This very well may not be the best system, but starting to complain about it when the dems take office is just flat out dishonest.
Why are citizens mocked and laughed at when they ask their congressman to read the bills before they vote on them?
Well, 95% of the mocking is from the Birthers/deathers. The rest, well, its not what they say, its how they say it.
Was the cash-for-clunkers program meant to save the earth or the economy? Did it accomplish either?
Honestly how do you watch/listen Glenbeck. It was not meant to \"save the earth\" , help the earth - maybe. People did have to upgrade to more fuel efficient cars, so on that front, yes. And it did help the auto-industry, so yes again.
How did Van Jones, a self-proclaimed communist become a special advisor to the president?
lol
- Did President Obama know of Van Jones’ radical political beliefs when he named him special advisor?
lol
If politicians aren’t writing the bills and aren’t reading the bills, do they have any idea what these 1000 page plus bills actually impose on the American people?
If only he knew a reporter!

I have to go to work, maybe I will edit more in later. But if you are really interested, then I refer you to any anti-Glen Beck website, like factcheck.org.

OOOOPS it appears that fact check has some issues.

1. it's supported by the Annenberg foundation, which has ties to Bill Ayers who was co-chair and Barack Obama. who was chairman
so much for objectivity

OK, I'll buy that. Let me know when they stop pissing on the dirt under the boulder and actually try to muster up some strong and consistent force....

I back this up. I'm a Glenn Beck follower as well. Even if this doesn't come from a credible source, these questions need to be asked and asked now.

I just don't get you guys.

Keith Olbermann lost me as a viewer after one night. I don't care that my political philosophy aligns closely to his, I just don't appreciate being bull shitted. I don't think \"my side\" needs to bull ★■◆● to win arguments.

Yet Glen Beck bull shits you guys day after day. His claims are constantly refuted by virtually every poltical fact check website out there....He is constantly caught in gross exadurations of the truth...his sponsers are pulling out left and right....yet so few of you seem to care.

Before your post, I hadn't heard anyone on the Olbermann side of the spectrum say anything remotely like what you just said about him. I've heard several say good things about him and a few act like he's some sort of a genius, and none who pointed out that he was a total douchebag / idiot / BSer. Would it be fair of me to complain that "nobody seems to care" because of that?

Personally, I think Glenn Beck is a moron / douchebag / BSer / paranoid loser (and I've enjoyed LGF taking him to task over the stupid things he's said in the past 2 weeks.) But I've had no reason to bring it up.

I appreciate your effort in picking off the low-hanging fruit from the original post in your first response. It's disappointing to see you decide to rail on Glenn Beck instead of trying to give a productive response now.

It was a bit of a rant wasn't it. But I saw no need to pick more low-hanging fruit when the otherones weren't really addressed.

I guess CUDA tried, but the \"6-degrees of kevin bacon\" game with the president gets under my skin. If only because it was so effective on you guys that I know it will now be a commen tactic that myside will adopt.

Anyway, there is only so much I care to respond to a copy/paste.
Would it be fair of me to complain that \"nobody seems to care\" because of that?
Not literally, (mine wasn't ment to be taken literally, Edit: in fact I said so few of you seem to care :P, not nobody), but I do think the ratings contrast between the two shows speak for themselves.
