Descent 1 Music Wiped Out

Not sure where this goes, sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I recently started using DTX, and was just testing it out. (Note, I'm using the newest version of D1X to play)
I made a custom hog file, followed the instructions and switched the level 1 music to the level 11 music. It worked, so I added a second level to the little level set. I tried to replace that music with the D2 level 4 music.

When I started the game again, all the music was gone. Does anyone know how to fix this/what caused it?

NOTE:The other sounds work fine.

D1X? Not D1X-Rebirth or D2X-XL? Yeah, D1X had trouble with the music. Just use D1X-Rebirth and enjoy better Descent 1.

If you have Descent 2, you might use D2X-XL for loads of game and visual improvement ... plus ability to play the Descent 1 levels.

I'm sorry, I meant D1X Rebirth, off Zico's site.

And I don't really want to run D2X-XL, I perfer Descent just how it was originally, which is why I like the Rebirth

1) Is the Music volume slider way down? (inside D1X-Rebirth settings)

2) What is your volume setting SW Synth in the computer's audio settings? (I've noticed that D1X-Rebirth will adjust those settings for me ... without my permission)

The music slider doesn't work in the current version of D1X Rebirth

As for number 2, thank you SO much. The MIDI volume got muted some how. Never thought of looking there, thanks a lot.
