Scroll mouse doesn't work in MS Virtual PC

I use MS Virtual PC to run Vista and Win7 but my mouse scroll button doesn't work.

Do I have to install a mouse driver or is just a function of Virtual PC?

Is it a special mouse like a gaming mouse or a [generic] mouse that runs fine with a generic driver, like an ordinary Logitech?

Ordinary. It came with my Dell.

One wheel no other buttons.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's a shortcoming of virtual PC - the mouse handling is less than perfect from what I've seen. I guess you could try connecting to the virtual machine using Remote Desktop Connection - horizontal scroll doesn't work there, but vertical scrolling usually does.
