if it's intended to be kinda moody... it's pretty good. Nice layout. Interesting color scheme -- makes it a bit memorable.

What he said. ;)

I like the green lighting. I dont think it's to moody, either. Plenty of white.

I like the layout. But all think links go to # ("Go to # on this page"). So all the links don't work. They're supposed to work right?

Umm, also I have to sidescroll on a 1024x768 layout (window at the default size) and that's not a good thing ;) Might wanna make some of those images smaller. :)

Good photography. Did you buy those as stock photos or do you have camera skills?

I don't have to sidescroll at 1024x768. O_o 17" monitor if that matters.

They aren't suppose to work yet, I haven't started on adding content, which I will do today.

*Edit*
Oh yea, some of the pictures were chosen as symbolism for my life to this point, others have a more direct meaning to those who know me. In otherwords, I just didn't just pic pretty pictures, they all have meaning, which will become even more clear once I add the content.

I really like it. Very clean. It's good to see a site that isnt' full of itself in a messy way.

Loads reasonably quick on my 56k dial-down (~1min), and I like the design. I especially like the overall color scheme, especially since I'm not overly fond of white backgrounds. Nice job! :)

First of all, great job! I like the color scheme.

As for criticism (in the order that I noticed):

1. You start the top with a nice green, but it is suddenly lost to the unsaturated image on the left and the browns in the one on the right (this is what probably prompted the "moody" comments above). I would suggest editing these to bring out the green in the grass. But I do like the unsaturated look, so keep it subtle but still enough to keep the green going (oh, and make sure that you don't make that girl look sickly in the process :P ). If you wish to keep them as they are, a bit of white space between those and the green images would do some good as well.

2. Pencil is too big. Make it a little smaller and give it a drop shadow. (You could do without it altogether with that nice, clean navigation you've got.)

3. Even though your lines on the navigation fade at different points, your text is still centered. The rollover images are not centered, which makes it look funny. The text should be centered on that rollover image, whether you move the text around or move the images.

4. The borders are different thicknesses. I don't know if you did it on purpose or not. Personally, I would go with a uniform border of the thickness that you have at the bottom.

5. Center the main table on the page to take advantage of the space that you have left for margins. I would also consider giving yourself a small top margin.

I'd say plague got most of it, but one thing i'll point out is the pencil: Unless you want it to point to whever you are on the site (in the menu) I wouldn't point it at a specific menu item, but a more general area. When a user comes to the site, it may mislead them to believe they're not where they though, or that it will point to wherever they are.

Just my 2 credits.
