I have a permanent health condition called Ehler's Danlos so supposedly people who are sick have red eye really bad in pictures. Ah well, that's what photoshop is for, I'm just too lazy to care :p

palms down not sideways. You should also switch to traditional, it is more efficient in the long run. Not to mention it looks way cooler :P

You're a drummer too Goob? That makes four of us now... you, me, Akuma, and Kumba. How long ya been playing, Kumba?

Bah @ traditional. Depends on what you're playing. Anything done in traditional can be done in match grip (my preferred grip) and vice versa.

Also Drummergirl and bfdd,

Yeah, a debate that will never end :P. Maybe its just that I am so much more used to it, but I feel like I can get around much better. I always felt like matched makes me move my arm alot more and increases time when going from drum to drum.

If you ever plan to do drumline, you should learn traditional now.

I have been playing over a year now. I play left handed with a right hand setup. I do not ever plan to join drumline. I play in a band, but it's ending cause I'm moving, so I will start a new band when I get to my new location and hopefully start playing some venues... I'm getting good enough :)

I'm a drummer too, sometimes.

Note that you can't see my hands, so no one can criticize my grip.

But I can criticize the kit you're playing. :P How can you possibly play those rubber pads for any duration of time? Mesh heads or real drums for me, none of that low-end Yamaha crap.

Yeah, I can't defend the kit, except to say I was trying to be nice to my downstairs neighbor. And it takes up less room than a real kit.

It's the original DTXPRESS, so it doesn't even have the dual-zone snare pad. In other words, it's possibly the worst digital drum kit ever made. I'm gradually replacing it with acoustic parts-- very gradually. It's been about three years and all I've got are a hi-hat and a yard-sale snare drum that I don't like.

Mmm... Pearl... My favorite sound. :) Sorry, no pics of me drumming though. It's been too long since I last played. :(
