Starting sometime in the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 19, the Descent Retirement Home will be taking down Vericose Veins Gaurdian CTF.

Now I can alreay hear a bunch of you crying, \"But Bug! We LOVE Veins! You can't take it away from us!\"

Have no fear, peeps. In it's place, we'll be hosting up a special Holiday Veins. Just like your old Veins, only with some seasonal decore. And, presents! You see, I also swapped the powerup models with package models. And like any good present, you can never be certain what's inside until you open it up. Or in this case, fly over and pick it up. And just to make it exra Christmast-like, we borrowed a Christmas tree from DigiJo, and stuck it in the big center room. Thanks, Digi!

Now I can hear a bunch of others out there crying, \"But Bug! We HATE Veins! Nothing would crush our Christmas spirit more completely than having to play Veins, even with the halls all decked goofy for Christmas.\"

Have no fear. We've also done some decorating to Brain Salad Surgury for a little lob-tastic anarchy fun. And then we cloned Digi's tree a couple of times, and stuck it in there too for some ambiance. Thanks again, DigiJo, we're getting our use out of that thing. It's especially cool when you fire a napalm rocket into it.

Anyway, we'll be hosting these through the Christmas holiday for your amusement. Regular VV should be back up on Dec 26th or 27th.

I'm making some last minute tweaks to the levels, and building in some quick load screens. When I finally host it up tomorrow, I'll post a download link here or you can autodownload in-game.

For Veins, I was able to turn the flag, and all icons for team #2 into Green. However, without modding, HUD displays and ship colors remain blue. Also, that little orbiting glow remains blue when you have the flag. Close enough to suit us and our goofy little Christmas party.

Okay, I tested lots of stuff while constructing this. But never thought of this...

Seems when serving up the original, we can't disable microwave. It's pretty annoying, most of all because I'm not sure why.

Anyway, it's now been forcibly removed. Should have just done it to start with.
