Every great city has it's skeletons in the closet, literally Not to make light of this, but it doesn't really surprise me at all. NYC isn't even one of the world's oldest modern cities, I wonder what kind of horribly despicable deeds, unknown at this time, led to the foundation of some European cities.

It's an election year FC. I guess we are gearing up for that us vs them mentality. Plus, I suspect that all the beating up in the world press the US has gotten over Iraq may have some people a bit on the defensive.
