BRINK - something new from Bethesda

Post by Duper »

Brink

This has an age filter on it so all I can link is the front page. Sorry :(

This looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. The graphics are reminiscent of TF2, but the game play looks and sounds off the chart! Again, it's not eyecandy that counts, it's \"fun factor\"!

Take some time and watch through a couple of the trailers. You'll get a good idea what the game is about.

Oh, also. If you have cable, watch the trailers in high-Def (or near) on G4 in the game trailer section. It's Not in the \"the first 15 minutes\" section yet.

I think I'll be getting this one.

Meh, just another FPS with the regenerative health fad. If multiplayer is really fun it might be worth it. Will have to try a demo first.
Why doesn't it work?

You know..you get hit then you need to take cover for a few seconds while your health regenerates.

My point exactly, just another FPS. :) The only inovation I can tell is that acrobatic button or whatever they called it.

actually, I think it looks really great. I love the cyberpunk feel of the container city.

The one thing I found weird was the sliding-into-cover thing, which the protatonist always does. The detailed rubble on the ground makes it really feel really strange that somebody would 'glide' across it. Would be great if these acrobatic moves were made surface dependent --- on some you can do them, on other's you can't.
