Gay republican lawmakers

Post by Nightshade »

It seems there are quite a few people that seem to persecute others based upon homosexuality (quite virulently at times) and are later revealed to be gay themselves. Lawmakers aren't the exception either.

Anti-Gay Lawmaker At Gay Club Before DUI Arrest

SACRAMENTO (CBS13)

Sources tell CBS13 a state senator from Southern California was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after leaving Faces, a gay nightclub in midtown Sacramento, early Wednesday morning.

The California Highway Patrol pulled over Senator Roy Ashburn at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday after an officer noticed a black Chevy Tahoe swerving at 13th and L Streets.

Ashburn, a father of four, is a Republican Senator representing parts of Kern, Tulare and San Bernardino Counties with a history of opposing gay rights...
Rest of story here: http://cbs13.com/local/ashburn.arrest.d ... 34505.html

I have my suspicions that the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church (the nasty bastards that picket soldiers' funerals praising their death) is gay himself.

Being gay, and wanting special rights are a completely different thing.

I don't think viewing homosexuality as a sin, would preclude one from desiring to have homosexual reltionships.

If I say McDonalds is bad for me, and I then go eat at McDonalds, does that make me a hypocrite? I don't think so, perhaps weak, but not a hypocrite.
