How's that Hope and Change workin for ya now?
On the point of did Obama lie/mislead or was just plain naive...no argument.
However open negotiations just arn't practical in washington. You get a bunch of republicans on a democratic Bill and all you get are talking point speaches to the camera. Same is true the other way.
Anything less and their opponents eat them up in the primaries.
