The drinks are on Me

Perhaps this is how Hillary hopes to woo the world to her way of thinking or perhaps a way to forget she lost her bid for president to a used car salesman:

\"Months after President Obama urged federal agencies last year to cut wasteful spending, the U.S. Department of State paid $3,814 to fill an order of Jack Daniel's whiskey for gratuities at one of its many overseas embassies.\"

\"Last year alone, the State Department sent taxpayers tabs totaling nearly $300,000 for alcoholic beverages — about twice as much compared to the previous year, according to an analysis of spending records by The Washington Times.\"

I have to say, in the current political climate, if I was an american sitting in a lone outpost of western civilization in an otherwise jihadi friendly country I'd have one eye on the insufficient security measures and the other on my bottle of Jack...

The fault is our own though; people buy into negative advertisements and hack political pundents ranting and raving so much. We are probably to the point where the majority of those who \"pay attention,\" are doing so by listening to some guy rant and rave on the radio, televesion or internet. Politics and entertainment are now one.

The political process has become so grueling and dishonest, that I think only self-serving ass holes would be willing to subject their friends and loved ones to it...

....so then they get elected, and we all act shocked when they act like self-serving ass holes.

Yea. Funny how most people can't even distinuish between them any more.

How many bottles ? Which embassy ? Irak ? Seems like a regular price to fly things around. Who gives a f*** anyways ? Just think about the costs to run an embassy. A f***ing steak at a banquet hosted by an embassy costs probably more.

That actually seems rather low. Would be interesting what the distribution looks like. Previous administration probably emptied the stores.
