Ad hominem means you attack the person instead of what he believes in or what he says.
In norweagian we say \"stråmann-argument\". A stråmann is a puppet made of straw (should be strawman in english). When you practice lets say martial arts, you make a puppet that is weaker than yourself to practice against. So....a stråmann-argument is to make your opponent weak by portrait him with believes which he doesnt really have, so you can easy defeat him.
