It's never good to wake up in the shrubs naked, you either got way too drunk, or your azz is a werewolf.

Perhaps if these people had something better to do, they wouldn't spend all day surfing porn. Make them do a real job and earn their keep for a change.

You should care. They were surfing porn and looking the other way while Wall Street and the big banks were gambling with our, AND YOUR, money, LOSING it for us and taking the winnings for themselves! OINK, OINK!

Oh, and woodchip, you think that private enterprise would do better? How about those private contractors that were working at the US Embassy in Afghanistan and playing homoerotic sex games instead of performing guard duty, like they were supposed to be doing, on OUR dime? Yeah, that worked out juuuuust fine I see! Instead of trashing government, we should be working to make it work for US, not for the corporate individual or company.

Whats a "corporate individual"?

Are you one of those "non-corporate" people who drive a car on paved roads that needed equipment to construct the road? Do you use an internet connection through your computer to make this remark? Are you a good straight shootin honest American worker guy with tools? Are you a First amendment guy with a big gun? What kind of clothes do you wear? What kind of food do you eat? What kind of toilet do you **** in?

Yup thats right holier than thou all made by corporations you non-corporate person you. But you sure love your hand built television (one of a kind constructed by Bob Johnson and Sons TVs since 1963!) don't cha?

=) go get dim darn corporations with your corporate guns and camouflage clothes! Oh yea, corporations also employ billions of people.

This is not a primary example of government waste. There are legal things that waste more time and money than this. I don't care if anyone wants to make a big huff over this, but I hope most people don't; speaking of a waste of media time...

WRONG! Payroll is THE most expensive thing of an employer. Whether there are "more expensive things" is irrelevant. waste is waste.

So, if I post an article about government paper waste it wouldn't be a thread hijack? Oh yes, because this thread isn't about waste, it's about morals.

Should there not be a be in that sentence? To answer the question no it wouldn't be a thread hijack. Government and waste go together like a horse and carriage. Wasting our tax dollars on an immoral act just makes for more of an outrage. Just think if they were really doing the job the SEC was supposed to do maybe we would not have had to bail out wall street or is that to simple of a problem to comprehend?

You'll have to remove the politicians from the government first.
Or...remove the ability for politicians to benefit or be supported in any way from corporations, organizations,unions,..basically ANY group at all.

You can't bribe a judge or jury, that would be tampering with the law. So why can you bribe the guys who actually write the law?!?!

Expect? It's why I keep coming back. :D I keep saying I don't care about, your over the top, morals! However, stealing is wrong, but I don't see time theft occurring here. For all I know, they look at porn on their lunch breaks, WHILE working, or, godz forbid, while traveling. Why don't we hear about the legal movies they watch in their office while working? pwnd. I don't care.

The simple fact of the matter is, they were using TAXPAYER owned computers to surf the pron, instead of actually researching the criminal activities of the banks and the stock barons.

It should in fact be a concern of every taxpaying citizen of this once great country.

It's attitudes like your Isaac that has allowed this country to slip into the gigantic sink hole it now resides in.

Shame on you!

Seems to me you pointed out time theft in your reply but you ignore it completely. You even point out it's wrong. If you meant while having their lunch break you should have left out the comma and changed a few words and/or added a word.

Like

For all I know, they look at porn while on their lunch breaks at work, or, godz forbid, while traveling

or

For all I know, they were looking at porn on their lunch breaks WHILE at work, or, godz forbid, while traveling.

Or

For all I know, they looked at porn on their lunch breaks WHILE at work, or, godz forbid, while traveling.

No, I meant what I wrote. If they're allowed to watch movies while they work on spreadsheets, why not porn? Because, the moralistic conservative subculture will have a fit. There is no other reason. Stop pretending it's about time management. I don't care if they play Jurassic Park, while reviewing data, or any other DVD on the planet.

The DVD collection in his office.

\"Guy watches movies in office\" isn't what tricked everybody here into freaking out. It's \"Guy watches porn\". And everybody knows that, woman and conservatives hate/fear porn. So, let's all get good 'n mad. Grrr!

Provide link to the dvd collection please.

Edit
A senior attorney at SEC headquarters in Washington admitted he sometimes spent as much as eight hours viewing pornography from his office computer, according to the report. The attorney’s computer ran out of space for the downloaded images, so he started storing them on CDs and DVDs that he stored in his office.

Oh, I wish I had a witty comeback for this. Actually, I really wish this wasn't as true as he put it. But, I'm about a half, to a whole, step up from there, at the moment. It pisses me off to hear stuff like this and it makes me want to work harder at school. I'll eventually prove to myself if I'm better than what BUBBALOU thinks of me, but not today.

So why aren't people working towards that goal? All I ever hear is the constant yelling "get rid of big government" or "make government smaller", not HOW to fix it, throw out the crooked bums or any other viable solutions! I'm in full agreement with you on this point. We need to purge the government of corporate control and money influence, but I'm wondering if it will take another Great Depression or Revolution to get the job done.
TheWhat wrote: Whats a "corporate individual"?

I was referring to people who work for our government as private contractors or in the back pocket of corporate interests as government employees and then turn around and bilk the government, the taxpayers, of our hard earned money for their own gain. This SEC porn scandal began in 2007, under Bush, ramped up in 2008 and 2009. You know why they had time to surf porn? They essentially had nothing better to do because they were all insiders for the companies they were supposed to rate! Type in a good recommendation or rating in a few minutes time to keep the system happy and then either sit around twiddling their thumbs or go on the net. All this while the economy was melting down around they're greedy, horny butts!

By the way, I'm also getting tired of buying expensive crap products made in China that fall apart 2 seconds after you use it! At least corporations are getting tired of the Chinese government corruption, graft and cost cutting. They're now moving a lot of production back to Mexico. So much for producing decent products for the customer and not just money to line their shareholders and CEO's pockets!

Kinda like:

"The case of Lawrence Summers, director of the National Economic Council and Obama’s top economic adviser, highlights the politically incestuous character of relations between the Obama administration and the American financial elite.

Last year, Summers pocketed $5 million as a managing director of D.E. Shaw, one of the biggest hedge funds in the world, and another $2.7 million for speeches delivered to Wall Street firms that have received government bailout money. This includes $45,000 from Citigroup and $67,500 each from JPMorgan Chase and the now-liquidated Lehman Brothers."

Or:

"Michael Froman, deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs, worked for Citigroup and received more than $7.4 million from the bank from January of 2008 until he entered the Obama administration this year. This included a $2.25 million year-end bonus handed him this past January, within weeks of his joining the Obama administration."

Or:

"Obama’s deputy national security adviser, Thomas E. Donilon, was paid $3.9 million by a Washington law firm whose major clients include Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and the private equity firm Apollo Management."

Or:

"Louis Caldera, director of the White House Military Office, made $227,155 last year from IndyMac Bancorp, the California bank that heavily promoted subprime mortgages. It collapsed last summer and was placed under federal receivership."

Or:

"Neal Wolin, Obama’s selection for deputy counsel to the president for economic policy, is a top executive at the insurance giant Hartford Financial Services, where his salary was $4.5 million."

So it would seem that Obama is so deep in bed with Wall Street that Michelle not divorcing him epitomizes the dutiful wife
