Uh, yeah, these guys aren't the only ones the legal team takes forever to respond to.

If it's not in the press, it tends to get shoved in a massive queue. Once you have correspondence going back and forth a few times, it doesn't surprise me that it can take months to get anywhere.

I'm using Firefox and all day I have not been able to enter a single mektek page. I checked the \"downforeveryoneorjustme\" site for this and it says the site is down.

Krom, their method was a loader program-lobby thing that gave you the option of torrenting or d/l from their server.

Well, as most folks didn't mess with their settings and uploads by default are really gimped, most download speeds were hosed as well. I opened my settings all the way and was pushing 1.6 up but only 98kb down. So, many bailed and tried the direct d/l.

Finally got mine patched and working. Went in, created profile, edited settings and POOF it crashed while I was going from a mech back to options.

Check their main site about that. If you change downloading from one type to another, say http then to torrent, it will corrupt the file.

might need to download a new set.

Oh, it's up again, but the speeds are only double digits.

the noCD patch is in patch .0020.

You need to update your version within MTX. the initial d/l is .0017

Alright just as I was about to download MTX offa fileplanet (which probably would have been faster than from were I am now), I noticed that mektek is back up:

We realize MTX caused grief for many folk and we apologize. We hope our 100,000 guests that crashed our server this weekend will return and not be too disgruntled.

So I started downloading it from there. 50kb/s though... :-/
Fileplanet does have the latest version here. I could have downloaded MTX before I finished the first sentence of this, but now I'm done dl'ing slowly from Mektek and installed it.
Gonna try MW4 w/ MP4 and hope I do not end up being the \"magic number\"-th person that is enough to crash the servers again

I couldn't get MTX to work. It takes approx. 2 minutes to start up on my Win7 machine (older versions of MTX didn't take as long on this POS laptop that I used to use all the time, and I even used it to get Assault Tech), even with visual themes and desktop comp. off and stuff, and then it says it can't connect to download.
I found that I had to open a port and so I did, but that didn't work. I checked the port and it was open all right, but MTX won't cooperate.

I finally got the MTX version to work and noticed it didn't have the campaign mode. Only had Instant action or Multiplayer. So I have since installed my own copy from the CD's and enjoy the campaign.
