D1 *.rdl file format

Can anyone tell me where I can get a complete (and commented?) specification of the *.rdl file format?
The one at descent-developer-network isn't complete, or can I just take the rest from the D2 format?
Is there anyone around here who still knows the layout of *.rdl?

DLE-XP contains all declarations for that file format. The source code is not yet open, but the owner (Bryan Aamot) has told me he plans to make it open source once DLE-XP is properly beta tested. So with a little patience ...

I decided to extract it from the D1 source and a sample hog file.
