I guess I should have clarified my reason for asking.
I've been flying flight simulators lately (Rise of Flight, an amazing WW1 biplane sim), and I use the MS Sidewinder FF2 stick.
Some users complain of bad graphical \"stutters\" when using the FF of the MS FF2 stick with Windows 7. Most have dual cores, and only a couple with i7 chips state that they have problems.
I dont have problems in XP, but thought if I did start to get them in win7, I could always just try the dual boot method.
I dont know of anyone trying the xp mode in win7 to try and fix the issue, but it sure seems that it would work.
One of the reasons I'm upgrading is because I cant find the reason for XP freezing on me on a daily basis. Rather than just reload XP from scratch, it was time for win7 anyway. So while I can (and will) keep my XP HD just in case of a need, not needing to boot to it (or connect it for that matter) is best.

Are there any drivers to NOT upload for win 7 (pretty much only asking about the creative drivers, but I'll include what I'm going to be using)?
There are a few I wish I hadnt installed for xp...
My list so far:
nvidia 195.62 drivers
NHancer 2.5.9
Creative drivers 2.18.0013 released on June 26, 2009. (kind of old...)
(do the native win7 drivers work just as well? if so, I can avoid all the ugly creative junk that comes with the drivers)
HP Photosmart C8180 drivers (wish I could ONLY add the driver for this...HP caused so many problems the last time I loaded their software...)
Setpoint 6.10 (for logitech g-9 mouse and illuminated kb)

I forgot to ask about the Asus P6T mb drivers. Should I let win7 take care of this, or should I dl and install all the mb drivers myself?
(there's 54 individual drivers to dl on the Asus site...no single set of all the drivers. Anyone have a dl link for the whole set? That is if they are actually needed)

When I setup Windows 7 pro the only driver it didn't find was my X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty. Of course my drivers on my board are not your drivers since I am running with an AMD processor and Nforce chipset. It did find and install my Geforce GTX 260 on the first update and pointed me to creative for the sound card driver. I have no clue if it will find you Realtek lan driver on install. So i would download that for sure.
