Friend has a satellite_A305-S6905. He uses the F6 & F7 keys to lower the brightness.
He says the settings don't hold and the screen comes back too bright.
I got him into the utility for his graphics card and he change the brightness there but it didn't hold.
What's up, say you?
Laptop screen brightness problem
Did he check his power settings? Not sure what OS he is running, but on the taskbar, next to the clock, there should be a battery icon (with a plug if it is plugged in). He should be able to change settings in there - typically there is a high power mode for when it is plugged in (bright), and a low power mode when it is unplugged (dim). You can customize them quite a bit.

hit esc on boot and change the bios brightness settings to match the windows o/s settings (through the toshiba power utility since it will override the Microsoft one if he is using the OEM O/S)
I seem to have a better workout dodging your stupidity than attempting to grasp the weight of your intelligence.
