Are American Voters really stupid?
Yes, I wouldn't have believed it until I saw McCain make it past the primary in AZ. All of a sudden he is tough on immigration and the people in AZ believe him and his opportunistic politics. Have they forgotten Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act?

Yes and no. Most of them simply don't care, and a ton of those that do care don't care enough to think for themselves and just latch on to the talking point that appeals the most to them. Hence we have the Republidunces and Dummycrats. Honestly people that don't vote are probably doing those of us that do a favor, since they are probably not informed enough to make a good and informed decision anyway. Are American Voters really stupid?
Another thing to look at is the system by which we inform our voters. Campaign ads that are increasingly negative and accusatory. Third party ads that are even more negative. Is it any wonder that, in the Senate race between Coleman and Franken, that a lot of people who voted for the third party candidate did it to spite the two main opponents for an incredibly negative race?

well if he's going to act that way in an open forum, then he deserves the responses he gets in the open forums.
