Spooler error 1068

Post by woodchip »

I removed all the lexpp files as I had gotten a message thru zone alarm that lexpp.exe was trying to act as a server (lex being the files for lexmark printers). Afterwards my brother printer would not work so I checked in control panel and tried to add it as a printer. Message about print spooler no worky came up. Welp, hit the net and tried a few fixes none of which worked, until I came across this jewel:

Go to start/run then in box type in:
CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND= RPCSS

Worked like a charm. While I suspect some of you already know about it I thought I'd just pass it along.
