Anyone who thinks Java is a worthwhile programming language needs to seriously rethink their decision to get into IT.

who is yahoo and java? Do they play for the Canucks?
Anyway... the Avs and Wings are now both sitting in 3-2 holes, though they took very different routes to get there. The question is, how will they respond? Will Calgary and San Jose close out their series? I'm hoping both underdogs (Calgary and Colorado) come out with wins...

From the Redwings Site:
"Steve Yzerman will be out of the Red Wings lineup indefinitely following surgery to repair both a scratched cornea and multiple fractures to the orbital bone suffered during Game 5 against Calgary."
I could almost feel it watching the replay... It was much worse than last season when one of the Wings got all of his front teeth knocked out by an errant puck.
Guess Calgary got lucky again. I hope the the rest of the Wings give them a good Ass-Whippin tonight!

Game 6 @ PHI - PHI finishes business. TB sent packing. Game Over TB.
Game 7 - not necessary

If the Flyers can play like they did in game two AND Tampa Bay plays as pathetically as they did in game two, then yes, I can see the Flyers making it to the Cup Finals.
However I think youre gonna see TB win this series in 5 or 6. A humiliating loss is usually a teriffic way to throw gasoline on whatever fire they had left, and TB is gonna come out fierce and pissed off and ready to settle the score in game 3. Kahbibulin(How the hell is his name spelled?) will be very eager to shake that lamb-basting off. I wouldnt be suprised if game 3 nets him a shutout.
As for Calgary and San Jose...Calgary just keeps pulling rabbit after rabbit out of their asses. I think its a pretty good bet they'll take out the Sharks now, especially being up 2-0 on them. Theyve got too much momentum and storyline behind them to NOT make the Cup finals. Flames in 5.
Keep in mind that I could be jinxing the whole thing and therefore we might very well be seeing a SJ/PHI finals now Oh well, it has to be more entertaining than last years finals. Did anyone catch part of that trap-fest? Damn. I was really hoping for a MIN-OTT Finals last year. The teams woulda been eavinly matched, AND both teams were fun to watch. Too bad both of em ran out of gas a little short. Friggin' Ducks and Devils... *walks away cursing*

IMO, Game 1 for the Flyers was just a "let's see what they've got" kind of game. They said it before the series that they weren't looking to come back to Philly ahead 2-0; being tied was more than acceptable. They have the Lightning where they want them, I would think. The Philly crowd is one of, if not THE loudest and most supportive of all NHL teams. Philly has the momentum right now and our home crowd is going to be deafening when Game 3 starts. I would not be surprised if the Flyers managed another 4 or 5 goals in this game, and Esche held the Lightning to 2 or less. And I'm probably going to jinx it here but Philly is still undefeated at home.

TB/PHI Game 5 tonight! Can't wait!
I checked the NHL.com site and their current poll asks fans how they think the Eastern Conference Finals will end up. TB in 6? TB in 7? PHI in 6? PHI in 7? It's almost up to 80,000 votes and the top answer is PHI in 6.
Re: ECF Game 4... For the first time, PHI won when being scored on first (1-3). And for the first time, TB lost on the road (5-1).
How will this affect the teams in Game 5? Tune in to ESPN2 at 7:30pm ET to find out.
