Missile? What missile? That was a...pidgeon.

Post by Nightshade »

All sorts of denials and general non-reaction from our government about the possible SLBM launch off Los Angeles in plain sight of millions on the coast.

An accidental launch? A navy slipped finger in a sub?

Hey, it could be Santa Claus on a naughty or nice recon mission.

There are few world powers capable of a ballistic missile sea-launch, and it wasn't Iran (at least not yet.)

This WAS a missile. There are no jets that produce this kind of flight profile nor do jets- even fighter jets- able to sustain such a fuel burn. Flames are literally visible in the video footage from the end of this thing for its prolonged flight.

A message was sent. Someone isn't happy with the US.

In a week we'll get a statement saying it was a "training exercise."

Interesting.

Remember a few weeks ago when China cut off Japan from its supply of rare-earth metals? Wasn't there some talk about the possibility of sanctioning China?

Boy I sure as hell hope that missile was ours.

China has been very aggressive lately. There is no doubt they see Obama as weak and are not thrilled at our governments' wanting to devalue the dollar substantially. Printing our way out of debt (of which China holds a substantial amount) is stealing from them- and it hurts.

The devaluation of the dollar isn't the only thing stuck in China's craw, but its the latest and more painful.

You have China and Japan butting heads over islands that both claim.

Clinton told the chinese \"we\" would help settle resource and territory claims in their backyard with China's neighbors.

China didn't like us parading our warships, including a nuclear aircraft carrier, in the Yellow Sea (which they have strongly condemned.)

A Chinese fishing boat rammed Japanese patrol boats on purpose- caught on film. The captain was held and the Chinese insisted on an apology from Japan and his immediate release.

So some people are trying to say it was a commercial jet...flying TOWARD the camera no less.

What the hell? Have you ever seen a contrail look like that when its source is speeding toward you? The wide part would have to be a bit more narrow because of distance don't you think?

Not at all. Winds at altitude spread contrails out quite a bit.

Necro, but with a possible update:

It's not as compelling or widely witnessed, but was still reported on.

Missile sightings may become the next \"ufo\" phenomenon- though they're a bit more possible and the motives are definitely not friendly.
