Every one has met Mr Know it all. They know every thing, bring up a subject and they know any thing and every thing you every wanted to know about the subject and more. There is exactly one thing a know it all doesn't know and will never know.

That's when to shut the frak up.

I know a guy who actually does know stuff about a huge variety of topics. He's not a "know it all" in the sense of talking too much, but it amazes me how much a guy whose day job is "refrigerator repairman" can give intelligent input into discussions on graduate level math, medical science, electronics, politics, etc.

Ditto - I know quite a few people like this as well.

It's amazing how much information you can cram in your skull once you have curiosity about life and contempt for time-sinks like TV.

My 20 year old Son always freak out when I watch Cash Cab. he hates it that I seldom miss a question, he keeps asking "how do you know all this stuff" I read I tell him. it's easy to know things if you have a hunger for Knowledge.
