11,050,913 Descent'rs have piloted these pages
Or did I not notice other people noticing it?
That'd be so embarrassing.

I think I was here the day the DBB hit one million. It was a big deal then, but not now.

Every time you refresh any page, or view any post, it increments. So, it's not an accurate reading of the number of visits to the DBB. I think on the old site it did track log-ons and not views (but I could be wrong since I've never paid much attention to it). But it seems strange that everyone made a fuss over 1,000,000 (not all that long ago, IIRC) and BAM! we're at 11,000,000. What happened to all the milestones in between?

What bash says is correct. It updates itself whenever any page is shown on the DescentBB. It is hardly an accurate count. However, I think phpBB has some built-in trackers that can give the administrator a more true user count.

I concur Jim.
11,000,000 is just page views - and that count is whacked anyway. But it's still an AWFUL lot of pages served! And, it's a tribute to the popularity of the DBB.
Congrats DBB! I hope I'm still around for 100,000,000!

Here's an interesting statistic: Currently there are 2040 registered users. 514â??approximately 25%â??of them have 0 posts. heh
Yes, I had nothing better to do!

How funny... just this morning I looked up that very same statistic (though I computed it the other way -- 1526 users with posts), as well as the fact that we have 97 users with 1000 or more posts.

Well, as long as you're ignoring intelligence....
I've been here so long that the board (UBB) forgot when I registered.

I've been here so long that I remember when the DBB had a lame URL that was really hard to remember, like ghg.com/cgi-bin/koolbear/blahblahblah/Ultimate.cgi or something like that.
But then, there are still a few people here who remember me from when I was a n00b, and remember me getting flamed on pyropimps. Man, that brings back memories...

lol, I remember that!
Hell, I remember when your wife posted on the old Interplay D3 ideas board, and later the D1/D2 board. If it wasn't for her, I would've never found the DBB in the first place. :p

Why Yes I did Beta test the wheel, and thanks to me it went from the drawing board to become the most used invention of all time. Top That #*★■◆●*#.
You all were in Diapers when the DBB was first formed, with the exception of Xciter and Sup. They even helped me with the fine points of the wheel. Just to have my small say in this thread I joined the DBB the very first day it went on-line. There are very few of you babies who can say that. Give Bama a cookie!
