Goddamn internet junkies!

Our production servers got hacked, raped then knocked offline by german hackers. I had to go all the way to Rotterdam in the Netherlands to pick up the servers and I worked until now in order to recover them. They were using it as an FTP server to distribute warez... complete with backdoors, hidden files, etc. However, the FTP welcome message sitting on C:\ gave them away.
From what I could find out, the server was then re-hacked by another warez group, and they did something nasty so that the server would boot with a bsod with a stop code, then reboot and repeat.

Oh well... Time to invest in a decent packeteer I say.

Cause he lagged so bad to US Descent3 Servers, he wanted them to crash! Sources stated that he was tired of always playing Brain Salad Surgery, VV, and Ascent

patches + firewall = very few (usually no) hacks

It's easier to patch than it is to reformat and reinstall ;)

It's funny that while I've grown up in an age were computers have become invaluable to our species, I still have no sympathy for dumbasses who can't seem to do stuff without them. Come on people!

It's like cashiers who can't count change when the registers go down and can't do it for them

yeesh.

Anyways, me thinks a lot of these virii and other malicious codes are being done by germany in retaliation for their two very large historical buttkickings
