It seems like there are some fairly significant issues with battery life, so I'll pass for now. I figure Nintendo will make some significant improvements with the inevitable second iteration.

um, dude? i know what it is. I'm telling you, it's going to be one of those things you'll enjoy for a month and then get tired of it. It's a gimmick.

This is how I've felt about ever hand-held. I just don't need to "game-on-the-go."

No, though if the games were playable on another system there's one or two I might be interested in. Just not enough to justify buying a handheld gaming system when I'm not into handheld gaming.

The biggest problem I might have with it is the position of the D-Pad.

i got one for my girlfriend. she likes it. the screen is neat but my TV is better. And just like the kindle i got her, it will be in a desk drawer in about month or so. I'm already starting to see the signs after 2 days.
