Its from the xbox version of the game, so it doesn't look quite as sharp as the other trailers.

I'm glad this game is getting closer to it's release date but I'll be darned if I download anything from

I read the article, and one thing pisses me off. The co-op. They put co-op in the Xbox version, but not the PC version. What kind of BS is that? That was the most fun thing about the original Doom was playing co-op. Yea, sure, the single-player experience is key, but once you're done with it, you're done. Its alot more fun to play it with other people. Leaving the PC segment without co-op is a big load of crap if I ever saw one.

Its just a hell of alot simpler to make co-op on one machine then make it exist between two. Many couldn't believe that HaloPC was released without co-op, but for the same reason.

edit: oh wow, they plan to have co-op over xbox live. Then I don't know why the PC doesn't have it, except to sell more xbox's and live subscriptions

If you're using IE (at least, may work in other browsers) their new download client let's you pick a save folder at the beginning of your waiting period, so you don't have to sit around and wait in line, then save it to disk.

As far as co-op is concerned, id never planned on doing that for the PC version. The company that's doing the xbox port decided to do that as a sort of exclusive thing. I'm told by one of the guys that used to work there that reverse integrating the co-op code back into the PC codebase would be quite difficult, and supposedly they didn't want to do that since the PC version was quite far along. I suppose MS might've also had some money change hands to keep it XBL exclusive as well, you never know.
