Adobe Acrobat file tries to open by itself

Nope, I use CodeStuff Starter and WinPatrol but I'll give it a try. What does it do?

I've installed Autorun. Now I'll wait for the renegade window to pop up. And place in Autorun I should be looking?

Autoruns just gives you a list of just about everything that automatically starts with windows / explorer / internet explorer and lets you disable them if you want. It is powerful enough to break a fresh install of windows so be careful what you disable.

Not sure it's going to help since even when that pesky
window pops up I really don't know what to look for.

OK....another clue...maybe.

The window just opened up on my XP machine that's on my network and that I use maybe once a week.

I haven't...never thought of that.

However, I did block the site with my Avast antivirus about 5 days ago and it hasn't popped up since.

And........still no popups! Avast must have done the job. Still surprised I couldn't find a way in Comodo Firewall to block it. Oh well, I've woken up and no bad dreams.

I actually had a dream my computer had this problem after reading this thread. It was on windows 95 though.
