Don't attack Pakistan...

Post by Nightshade »

...unless you want war with China:
BEIJING: China has warned in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China. Beijing has advised Washington to respect Pakistan's sovereignty and solidarity and this was formally conveyed to the United States at last week's China-US strategic dialogue and economic talks.

It is interesting how a new eastern bloc has been rising and aligning itself- not overtly at first, but now with due haste.

China is also seen building military logistical infrastructure both on its borders with India and within Pakistan.

Another article:
A RISING star of the People's Liberation Army has called for China to rediscover its ''military culture'', while challenging unnamed Communist Party leaders for betraying their revolutionary heritage.

General Liu Yuan displays sympathy for Osama bin Laden, says war is a natural extension of economics and politics and claims that ''man cannot survive without killing''

Bin Laden sheltered by Pakistan (or a supposed separate group within the ISI) and now this kind of statement from a Chinese general.

General Yaun should look at how his country handles muslim extremist before saying how he like bin Laden. As to Pakistan, if it comes down to terrorist taking over the countries nuclear arms, just guess what we will do.

I'm wondering if India is at the very least a little bit alarmed by these developments.

Not quite- but the presence of PLA and upgrades to military infrastructure to Pakistan by China is being ramped up. Such things are not done in the interests of peace.
