More proxy questions re: Hamachi & Prioxy

I found info on Lifehacker re: setting up a secure connection for wireless in a public place which I've been wanting to figure out forever..

However I'm stuck on part of the instruction. It's on step 2 of setting up Prioxy "Now it’s time to configure Privoxy..." I found the "listening address" and added #

Now the confusion "then paste listen-address followed by the IP address created by Hamachi" I see the "listen address" on top of the Hamachi window but don't know how to determine the "IP Address" for Hamachi. Probably way to simple but..........

The Hamachi Address is pretty obvious on the Hamachi window.

It would be easier just to spend the money and get a router that has VPN support.

You need to have a computer at home, with Hamachi running for this to work, and you will be limited to what your home internet upload rate is.

Actually I guess I'm looking for the "listening" address in Hamachi so I can past it in Prioxy.

the number that starts with a 5 is the hamachi address; thats the address you want.

Is the "starts with 5" the IP address or the "listening address? If I'm reading it right I need to addresses and if so what and where is the other address I need?

Sorry for my lack of understanding but I'd really like to be able to set this up.

Yes, that is the hamachi created address you need to give to privoxy.

Got it this morning! I was looking for a "Listening address" and an IP address to paste into the config.txt file and I was to type the words "listening address" followed by the IP address. I guess I was dense but instruction were a little vague.

Now, how can I tell if my laptop is "tunneling" through my home computer? I can ping my home computer from the laptop but does that mean that I'm going through my home computer?
