Re: Gameplay Video now available
Unfortunatly I can't do any better than that sort of buying a new computer.....
Thing is that the computer is spending it's time capturing 25 fps video, and forgetting to run the game. So while the video is 25 fps, the game is only running at 10 or so.
I'll see if I can do better at the next one.

Re: Gameplay Video now available
Doing it the old school way might be an option worth looking into. Hook up an hd recording device to monitor 2 then, later on, capture back to a video editor, that way your computer is only doing one thing at a time.
I used to use good old VHS back in the day, but it looked just like VHS. I think you can do much better than me. Also, it's 2011, not 1998.
Some people use DVD recorders, like the James the Angry Video Game Nerd. The discs are good for archiving.
If you're creative and desperate enough, I bet you can find something to record to.

Re: Gameplay Video now available
I think I could improve it more if I could select a bit of the screen, rather than just from the top right. I'm using ffmpeg (Linux) so if you have any experience with that let me know.
Otherwise yes, I may have to get out the good old camera

Ah ha
Instead of recording at 25 fps, If I record at 20 fps then I get 20fps out of the game to, that might help.
It takes 70% of this laptops CPU to record at 25 FPS or 50% to record at 20. Who knows why there is such a big difference?
The game itself uses just over 50%
Anyway, the next one should be way better.
