Scary stuff. Stay safe you folks up there. Let's see what lowlife (lowlives) take credit for this atrocity.

Here's some news.
A suspect in the shootings, and the Oslo explosion that killed seven people, was arrested. Though police did not release his name, Norwegian national broadcaster NRK identified him as 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik and said police searched his Oslo apartment overnight. NRK and other Norwegian media posted pictures of the blond, blue-eyed Norwegian.
So, was it just a lunatic?

A 32 years old norwegian man is arrested. Looks like he did this alone.

He start shooting at a youthcamp. So far police have found 80 youths killed. The youthcamp was arranged by the labour party.
Police believe the shooter is connected to the bombing of the government building.

This is a tragedy

OSLO, Norway (AP) -- A police official says the man suspected of carrying out a bombing and shooting massacre in Norway posted on websites with Christian fundamentalist tendencies.
Well, maybe not mennonite...

The moral of the story is that it's easy to hunt and peck for confirmation for your theory, but the mark of a good theory is predictive power, which yours lacks. Not that you even seem to have a formal theory--your posts seem to be more the presentation of your collection of personal biases.

Anyone know what the guys problem was (besides not being wrapped too tight)? Other than who the shooter was, not much more info is available.

By law it is possible to receive life imprisonment in Norway, but there are no examples of such after the latest correctional law passed in 2002. There are basically two types of maximum penalty laws:

The maximum determinate penalty is 21 years imprisonment, but only a small percentage of prisoners serve more than 14 years. Prisoners will typically get unsupervised parole for weekends etc. after serving ⅓ of their sentence (a maximum of 7 years) and can receive early release after serving ⅔ of their sentence (a maximum of 14 years).

I guess it sucks for Norway to have inadequate laws to punish this guy with.

Nah... with enough creativity I'm sure their judicial system will come up with something.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, a crazy right-wing zealot. Another Timothy McVeigh type resorting to mass killings as their solution for their hatred. A child killing bastard with no soul! If they let him out after his short prison stay, I'd be really surprised.

CC is Conservative Christian. Right?
He define himself as a person with conservative values. From what I have seen he haven't said anything about Christianity.
He saw cultural marxism as the great enemy of society, and believed cultural marxism had taken over our government, media and education system.

So once again, for those of you who think the police will save you when faced with danger:

"OSLO, Norway (AP) — Police arrived at an island massacre about an hour and a half after a gunman first opened fire, slowed because they didn't have quick access to a helicopter and then couldn't find a boat to make their way to the scene just several hundred yards (meters) offshore. The assailant surrendered when police finally reached him, but 82 people died before that."

Looks like he have copy and paste parts of, or whole manifesto of unabomber (Ted Kaczynski) into his own manifesto. He just changed 'leftist' to 'multiculturalist'.

Do this guy's political views really matter? He was stone cold crazy and he killed people. It doesn't take a Muslim or a Christian or a communist or an anarchist to do that.

I worked for a horse breeder one time . He said all his lame and old horse's he sent to MC'd's in texas. That pretty much did it for me for 1/4 pounders. His story: 20% beef, 65% horse, rest is bread filler. Heh. I'll pass.

It's interesting that suddenly- if you're anti jihad (basically anti-extremist) you're suddenly just as guilty of murder as a madman that gunned down 70 odd defenseless children.
