In light of the Euro's looking for the Chinese to bail them out it is interesting to hear what a head Chinese has to say:
"If you look at the troubles which happened in European countries, this is purely because of the accumulated troubles of the worn out welfare society. I think the labour laws are outdated. The labour laws induce sloth, indolence, rather than hardworking. The incentive system, is totally out of whack.
"Why should, for instance, within [the] eurozone some member's people have to work to 65, even longer, whereas in some other countries they are happily retiring at 55, languishing on the beach? This is unfair. The welfare system is good for any society to reduce the gap, to help those who happen to have disadvantages, to enjoy a good life, but a welfare society should not induce people not to work hard."
Jin Liqun, the supervising chairman of China's sovereign wealth fund

Re: China Gets It
Let me ask you woodchip. Would YOU like to be the average factory worker living in China on the wages they get, IF you were lucky enough to even HAVE one of those factory jobs in the first place? To top that off, the unfortunate rest are forced to farm to survive or feed the growing population and are stuck living in the polluted filth FROM those factories and growing population centers. They are either destitute or slaves to the state. I got this info from a friend of mine who is FROM China. Remember, China is a commie state too. So much for the free market.

Yet China is the one the green environmentally regulated countries are looking to borrow money from to survive. Do you see a problem here?

Yet here in America we pay farmers not to farm. That seems out of whack to me. The trend of late with unions is they are giving back most of their benefits and creating a lower tier pay scale with no way out of the lower tier. Companies are using this to their advantage by turning the two against each other. We may be force to be paid less in the long run.TC wrote: the unfortunate rest are forced to farm to survive or feed the growing population
Re: China Gets It
After this exchange on Facebook, I eventually ended up posting this.Is your husband and FOP member? They have made their endorsement. Enough said (for me anyways). Remember 1 thing.....the Mayor is your husbands boss. The very top of the chain. You are voting for who is in charge of the police department (Remember they have the power to change our Chief of Police).
I noticed after I posted this, he removed ALL his other posts except for the initial one quoted above. Must be the damn truth then, I pilfered that from a website but at this point I stand by it 100% now after hearing this guy.Unions have become selfish, extremely greedy, and even thuggish in their never-ending quest to take in as much as they can for themselves, at the expense of everyone else who crosses their path.
That's why today, unions have changed from organizations that "look out for the little guy" into the largest, most rapacious special interest group in the entire country.
