Descent 3 - Force Feedback

I have a Logitech Force 3D Pro Joystick with force feedback supported, but in the Descent 3 Setup (Launcher) the funtion Force Feedback isn't available(I just can't activate it).

I've tryed in Vista and XP
Descent 1.4 and 1.2
Logitech Profiler software version 5.02.116

In Game:
And I've never seen the FF options or enable/disable box in options, config, joy/mouse, adjust settings.


In the launcher:
On Vista the \"Current Joystick\" in the launcher is:
Joystick 1


On XP \"Current Joystick\" in the launcher is:
Logitech Force 3d pro


I've tried it in XP Pro SP2 and I still can't check the option FF in the launcher, however it recognizes the joystick Logitech Force 3d pro instead of Joystick 1 (on vista). I've tried the FF feature in other games, e.g. Combat Flight Simulator 3, and it's working just fine. So it brings me to the same issue, I just can't use FF in Descent 3. Any Tips?

i just want to add... im trying to play D3 and there is no force feedback, just as the topic starter said , 'joystick 1' and all that

difference is im on win7, and im using a logitech rumblepad 2 ... the force feedback definitely works in Windows
