Ubunt-Fail

This was posted on a weird site called reddit, so it's not my system. I've never seen this error on my system, but it's pretty funny.

Heh, usually Windows is the thing generating these sorts of asinine messages. :D

Almost as bad as mine that I dumped in gallery a little while back:
"No program available for executable files"
Eh?

Look at the close button (on the ubuntu-fail). It's a fake.
1) The close button is on the wrong side (in the default theme the close button is on the left)
2) There's that minced but of color near the close button
3) The top bar always has text in it.

Still, it makes an epic image.

And Duper, that reminds me of this photoshop job:

I found this here:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/evince/tree ... 0ac23ab9ab

Code: Select all

dialog = gtk_message_dialog_new (GTK_WINDOW (print_dialog), GTK_DIALOG_MODAL,
                                 GTK_MESSAGE_ERROR, GTK_BUTTONS_OK,
                                 _("Printing is not supported on this printer."));
From the source code, it looks like it only wants to print to PDF or to a postscript printer. This also looks like a very old revision of the code.

sdfgeoff, mine isn't a shop job.

We contracted to have some custom software for doc control done and it's browser based. I assure you, my image is genuine.

I haven't played with Ubuntu in 3 or 4 years. I'm not familiar with linux standards.

Here's one I got in Windows 98 way back in the day...

Image

Just for kicks I set it as my desktop background at califest one time, a dozen people tried to click it and told me my PC was locked up. :P

Sorry duper, I didn't mean to sound like yours was a photoshop job. I haven't played with windows for a few years..... (sound familiar?)
I was pointing out the ubuntu-fail as being photoshopped (It seems that it is a real error, but the user who posted it edited it? Maybe I'm just wrong), and then posted another error. (That I know is photoshopped)
Eh?

The artifacts you described can be explained by it being from a fairly old version of Ubuntu.

Messages like Krom's make me read the "OK" button as "...ok?"
