Appcrash IE and Skype not working?

A friends Skype doesn't always work. He has uninstalled and reinstalled it. He noticed yesterday that there was a flag in his system tray that was a Appcrash for Internet Explorer.

Would one have anything to do with the other? I've asked him to keep track when his Skype is not working to see if that flag is in his tray.

pretty unhelpful guys. I believe thewolfe does a lot of the computer repair he does as a form of charity.

I wouldn't be surprised that the two are related.

Can he find and disable some sort of a skype IE plugin, and see if it fixes the issue?

Also, as always, make sure windows and skype is fully up-to-date

Not really. Feels to me that s/he is being taken advantage of.

I have no problems helping members if I can. I'm not however providing free solutions to their acquaintances and neither should they.

That is really your call and what you are getting out of it.

Troubleshooting a computer is no small job and it takes time, effort, and resources.

Correct. The few people I help out are well aware of that and actually offer to pay me for the time, which I usually wave (unless it's a multi-hour job.) All others pay.

Depends if they are taking advantage of your good nature which people tend to do. On both questions.

I tend to charge on a case by case basis. Everyone pays or barters for my services.

. I've heard that the SR71 had optics that could see a dime from 30000 feet. An exaggeration no doubt then but probably absolutely true now. I'm pretty sure that anytime you get pulled over a police officer has access to your medical records. No, I quit worrying about that stuff long ago.
