Correction for your title, it is not WAH-64. it is AH-64D "Longbow" Apache. none-the-less very good movie.
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!! The US Army Apache Pilots are the best known AH-64 Pilots to man. END OF STORY!!!The Best Gunship in the world, flown by the best pilots in the world, The British Army Apache Pilots......
ITS SUPPOSED TO BE UGLY !!! so it strikes fear into the eyes of the enemy. It is the ugliest machine i have ever seen in my life.

No, it's a WAH-64 Apache, license-built by Westland, UK, and used by the Royal Army as the Apache AH.1.

i stand corrected. i know the British bought some AH-64's from the US, made by US. guess they took a new route for getting Apaches.
yeah, there are a few more videos here

The video was pretty cool, except for the few cases of below-the-belt America bashing. The line about "friendly fire" was really inappropriate in my opinion. Anyway, getting back on topic, that car handles like a beast. I was actually more impressed by the moves the pilot was pulling off. I have heard how difficult it is to fly a helicopter (see my pathetic attempts in Flight Simulator ), but this guy was going all over the place, tail-whips and all .
So we're just supposed to forget about the notorious-ness of American military f*ck-ups?Top Gun wrote:The video was pretty cool, except for the few cases of below-the-belt America bashing. The line about "friendly fire" was really inappropriate in my opinion.
There's a saying, dating back to World War 2.
When the Germans flew overhead, the Allies ducked.
When the British flew overhead, the Germans ducked.
When the Americans flew overhead, everybody ducked.

I watch Top Gear every sunday night, and the only other TV I watch is F1 every second Monday morning...
Top Gear is a GREAT car show - and because they're closest to the worlds supply of supercars, they have the best car tests of any show I've ever seen. And yes, American bashing is what they do. Make some decent cars and they'd probably stop.
A buddy of mine has a new Elise, and it rips like hell. But only with one person on board. Adding a passenger changes the power to weight ratio so much that the car feels like a totally different vehicle.
Gimme a Murcielago, a Veyron, or a McLaren F1 any day...

Rather telling that the dinky Exige uses a Nissan engine. The totally lame driver (look how often the guy breaks his grip on the road) spends so much time waving the Union Jack that he hopes we won't notice that nothing in the infomercial except perhaps the Exige shell (probably molded from imported composite materials) is British-made.
It really depends on how much the driver and passenger weigh, the car itself weighs around 1900 lbs, if you add 300 (150 driver, and 150 passenger) then you increase the weight to 2200, thats a 16% weight increase; while that is substantial, I don't think it would make it feel like a totally different carMobius wrote:I watch Top Gear every sunday night, and the only other TV I watch is F1 every second Monday morning...

Ford GT is an awesome car. But for almost 3 times the HP, you would think it would go more than 10mph faster.......

Ok, now we have moved onto the topic of ridiculous super cars
Aston Martin Vanquish
Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari Enzo
Lamborghini Murcielago
Lotus Esprit
Maybach 62
Porsche Carrera GT
IMO, the Ford GT doesn't even come close to any of those.
Of course, the best car is the Lotus 340R, followed by any Seven.

From the pics, that looks like an older Exige, one based off of the S1 Elise, the new Exige is fasterBuef wrote:http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/specs.asp

Da Winged Beast
Ok after seeing this car do 206 MPH personally (it was awsome by the way) it probably needs to go that fast to get enough air past the block to cool it
Trying to run that puppy below 70 MPH or on the street for more than 1 hour, you need to;
1) Stop and cool down, or risk cracking your block and or warping your hemi-heads into non-hemi heads,
2) Hide from the Police for a few hours while laying cold wet blankets on the rad and hood to cool it.
3) Re-fuel
4) Re-tune
Rinse and repeat as needed.
