Hi folks, long time no see. Hope everyone is well. =)
I just purchased an 8GB Kit of DDR3 1333 RAM for my i7 system but was surprised to see the following in Windows 7 x64 in system properties. Something I'm used to seeing on 32-bit clients. Am I missing something? I've searched for a "Memory Re-mapping" feature on my system board BIOS but there does not appear to be any. The board supports up to 16GB of RAM. BIOS sees the RAM correctly but Windows doesn't seem to be using it all? Even task manager doesn't seem to be utilizing it. If anyone has any advice or tips, I'd appreciate it.
System specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
CPU Core i7 860
Mobo Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 (Rev. 1.0) (using latest BIOS update)

Question regarding 8GB RAM in x64 Win7 (SOLVED)
Re: Question regarding 8GB RAM in x64 Win7 (SOLVED)
Well, disregard please. 10 seconds after posting this I found the problem. MSConfig's Advanced menu for whatever reason had Max memory set to 0. Unchecked the box and rebooted. Back to the full 8GB.
Wanted to post in case anyone else comes across it in the future.

Only time this should be an issue is during a system upgrade without a new O/S reinstall on x64. Great for virtualized o/s
I seem to have a better workout dodging your stupidity than attempting to grasp the weight of your intelligence.
Re: Question regarding 8GB RAM in x64 Win7 (SOLVED)
completely normal due to the way 7 caches memory.
have a look at your resource monitor for further explanation, in the 'memory' tab.
