no sound in descent 3
I found Descent 3 sitting on the shelf and decided to install it on the computer. I have windows 7 and I got the game running but there is no sound. If I change the settings on the beginning window of D3, they don't save. Can someone help me figure out what is going on plz?

In the Descent 3 launcher, click the setup button then the audio tab: choose primary sound driver in the drop down and directsound (should be the only valid option) as the mixer.
If the options don't save, try running the launcher with administrator privileges (right click the descent 3 icon, choose "run as adminstrator").

Turn off EAX enhancements on your sound card (win vista/7)
