What have we been up to lately?... Hmmmm....

Post by SirWinner »

Have been away too long and working very hard in the Real World.

We recently released one of our software products and here are 2 links:

The small company that where I have been working for over 8 years: http://www.ipixcel.com

Just making people aware of new stuff.

Have been very busy lately... My ONLY Child (Daughter) turned 18 last month and will be graduating from High School in May 2012... That just doesn't seem possible! That's what happens when you turn 55 (as of February 2012)... :D

Currently playing Star Trek Online with my 3 Federation and 3 Klingon Characters. 1 each of Tactical, Science, and Engineer from Federation and Klingon Sides. My Main Character is my Federation Tactical Officer.

Occasionally read posts on Facebook from Descenter's which mostly come from this fine DBB.

Need to visit the DBB a lot more often... Just because I have been away doesn't mean that I don't think about you fine people!

Is your codec substantially different than Microsoft Portrait? I'd be interested in the typical side-by-side screenshot comparison between your codec implementation and say, h.264 via x264, at various bitrates. (edit: it looks like this is maybe intended for bitrates where h.264 wouldn't even be feasible?)

Skype recently switched to VP8, which has nice error concealment features useful for unreliable networks:
