Look, one of you has gotten infected with Beagle again, and its still spoofing Tetrad. If you've e-mailed me and Tetrad in the past, scan your freaking machine because I am sick and tired of getting your infected e-mails!

Its NOT Sickone this time people. I just got an e-mail back from him saying he's scanned all his machines that are online and THEY ARE CLEAN!

Because this is the only place I have that I've posted that e-mail address on, and the only one that I use in my profile. This is the ONLY descent-related board I post on, and nobody else I know on all the forums I post on know Tetrad so....you figure it out.
MD, quit your whining, shees.
Are you always reacting like that when a virus pops in your inbox? I feel sorry for your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever.
SSC-Thunderbird wrote:Might be worth noting that most viruses these days will not only scan your address book, they will scan your Internet cache for email addresses.
I've also gotten emails from spoofed addy's and the "from" block has almost always been from someone not from my address book (I don't keep an address book anyway, so there!) but from someone I knew.
If you're so "mr. security" then maybe YOU're the one who should be updating more regularly.
Besides, it's just an email, nothing more than a 2 second nuisance at best if you know to delete it before opening it.
Seriously man, posting here isn't going to stop it. I just have my AV software delete any emails with viruses before they even reach my inbox. Maybe you should do the same?
this is why i use Yahoo and Hotmail. no need for outlook or any other mail apps. they store the files, and i retrieve them already scanned and posted if something harmful is included.

Well, I figured since I know Tetrad isn't the one doing it, that someone here DOES and gee...JUST MIGHT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. Ya think?
I know its not my end since, unlike half the idiots on the internet, I don't open attachments. I even delete e-mail on sight that have attachments unless I know in advance that its coming.
