PhysX versions
Anyone know if a game that comes with an older version of Physx on the install disk will try to overwrite a newer version already on a system? Every game I've installed has accidentally been done in a ascending to a newer version order. Now I have a game I want to install that comes with an older version and I don't want to hose my system or other games by installing it, yet I do want to play it.

Re: PhysX versions
Worst case scenario you would have to reinstall the latest set of nvidia video drivers afterwards (physx is included with all recent nvidia driver packages). But odds are the installers detect when newer versions are already present and skip.
Re: PhysX versions
Most old DirectX games I've installed seem to figure out that they shouldn't be overwriting the much newer version already on my system. And if Microsoft can get it right, I have to think that nVidia could.

Re: PhysX versions
Went ahead and installed the game. Sure enough, the installation was automatically canceled. Yea! The only thing is that I don't want the really new version of PhysX on my system right now and I don't want to have to download the newest version just to fix things if needed. Apparently, some of my older games will quit working with version 9.12.xxxx and I haven't completed them yet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
