I paid full price when it came out and it's worth every penny. You now get the editor to build your own levels

The more comprehensive editor has been out for a while.
But this one is a lot easier to use and for those who are used to Descent mapping it gets even better.
Plus you can use this editor to quickly create something basic and then load it into the more comprehensive one, which I know at least one person is doing.

The game is the most awesome I bet.

I suck at puzzles.

It's a really good game. I just played through it again for the fun of it. I'd even forgotten some of the puzzles and had to re-derive them. I just love those colored gel puzzles. I might go back through the first Portal game too. Haven't done that in awhile.

Watch out if you have acrophobia. Even though it's virtual, the heights still give me the creeps when doing some of the stunts (shiver). And you'll love the ending.

It took me forever to figure out Portal 1. Portal 2 is easier but much funnier. The editor is simple also.

There was only one level in Portal 1 that threw me, that one where you had to shoot several portals in rapid secession to get progressively higher and higher to get out of the room. Getting flipped the right way, aiming and shooting several times in a row was frustrating. There were a couple of those in Portal 2, and in one, you didn't get much time to reorient and fire either. But I think those colored gels in Portal 2 were a way cool addition. I even liked the progression through all the different eras of the labs, right down to the time appropriate furniture and equipment. The voice overs were good too.

I do actually. :P Portal 1 didn't bother me so much, I think because you survive long falls. The bridge from Halflife 2 always had me sweating bullets though:

That bridge. Omg that bridge.
My acrophobia doesn't mind Portal. Which is extremely odd because it minds things like... oh... my third-floor bedroom window... very much.

I've noticed Sapphirewolf is playing Portal 2 a lot more since the editor update. I should go take a look at what he's made... knowing him it will be awesome.

Tunnelcat, that is the same level I had trouble with in portal 1. I'm sure I could do it a lot better this time around. I've finished Portal 2 at least 15 times since I bought it or more.

Oh, that bridge gave me the heebie jeebies too! Only those narrow girders to walk, nothing to hold on to and one little slip from eternity...... But there are quite a few of those fly or get thrown across bottomless chasms that gave me the creeps in Portal 2. The wind noise as you fall, nice touch. And you really fly without an airplane during the ending!
